I. Accessing and registering on the NC Roadmap

1. Go to www.ncroadmap.org
2. To navigate the site, use the menu along the left hand side
3. To search for a particular program, go to the search menu at the upper right hand corner of the site
4. To update or enter new information, you need to register as a user, or log on to the site if you are already registered. To do this, select either log on or register from the upper right hand menu.
To Register as a new user
You do not need to register or log on to access the information in the NC Roadmap. If you would like to update information, or add in new programs, you will need to become a registered user.
To Register as a NC Roadmap User
1. Go to the main page of the Roadmap and click on Register in the upper right hand corner.
2. This will take you to the registration page. Please fill out the form on the page.
3. Once you have completed the form, click the submit button at the bottom of the page.
4. After you click submit, you will be sent an email with your activation code. Follow the link in the e-mail, to activate your account.
5. Once your account is activated, you can log in and start updating your program information.
II. Log-On instructions
1. Go to the main page of the Roadmap
2. Select
Login at the upper right hand corner of the page
3. Enter in your username and password
4. Select OK
III. How to Add a New Program

To enter in new information about a facility, organization, or program that offers health promotion programming for older adults:
1. Register or log on by following the above directions
2. Once you are logged in, on the main page go to the left-hand menu and under Site Tools select
Update the Roadmap
3. If your program is county specific, select
Update or create program information under the County section. If your program is statewide or regional, select
Update or create Statewide Programs.
4. Scroll down the next page to check if your facility or program is already on the list. If not, click on
Submit New Organization Form next to step 3.
5. Complete the form
6. Click the
Create New Record button on the bottom of the page.
7. If there is an error on the page, follow the directions below to update your program.
IV. How to update your program
To update information about a facility or a program:
1. Go to the main page and Register or Log on
2. Once you are logged in, on the main page go to the left-hand menu and under
Site Tools select
Update the Roadmap
3. If your program is county specific, select
Update or create program information under the County section. If your program is statewide or regional, select
Update or create Statewide Programs.
4. Scroll down the next page to check if your facility or program is already on the list If not, click on
Submit New Organization Form next to step 3.If it is, click on the facility.
5. After you have selected your organization/facility/program from the list by clicking on it you are ready to update or edit your information.
6. Now pay attention
- a. Once you have pulled up the form for your program, you need to select the EDIT option from the top right hand menu.
- b. A blank screen will appear with tabs across the top. Choose FORM.
- c. Your form will appear. Go ahead and change information
7. Once you have edited the form, click
Preview at the bottom to preview it. If you need to make any corrections, click
Save and Continue. If you are finished, click
Save.
8. Your form is now updated!
V. Updating other parts of the Roadmap

To update any additional information on the Roadmap do the following:
1. Register or log on as above
2. Go to the page you want to edit. For example, select on the side menu

3. Once you are on the page, go to the upper right hand menu and select
edit to update or add information
4. A text box will appear. Place your cursor in the appropriate area (example, under "Living Healthy", and enter in a new testimonial.
5. Select save and review your work
